COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - With the South Carolina Gamecocks’ football season at an end, work to renovate Williams-Brice Stadium has now kicked off.

WIS saw crews at the stadium on Tuesday with heavy equipment and areas fenced off. You can watch footage from the scene above this story.

The University of South Carolina and state officials approved final plans for the renovations earlier this year.

Plans include a revamp of concourses, premium offerings and improvements for areas used by the football team.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in three separate phases between 2025 and 2028.
