Burlingame is now home to a new location of the fast-casual restaurant chain Sweetgreen, serving up salads and grain bowls for customers looking for vegetable-forward, health-conscious fare.
The brand focuses on locally sourced ingredients and was first started in 2007 by three recent college graduates, according to its website.

Located on Lorton Avenue, the restaurant is hosting a grand opening today until 2 p.m., featuring pours from Best Day Brewing, a nonalcoholic craft brewery. Vendors Flora Stories, a San Mateo-based florist, and Happy Organics, a Merced-based candle maker that produces vegetable-shaped beeswax candles, will also be in attendance.
