WASHINGTON — For the first time ever, users can now check out a personalized year-end breakdown of what they watched most. The platform has launched giving viewers a slideshow of their top creators, interests, music and viewing habits based on their 2025 watch history.
Recap arrives as YouTube continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary and cements its role as a leading engine of pop culture trends.
“You aren’t just one thing, and neither is your watch history,” the company said in its announcement.
Recap cards may spotlight binge-worthy creators, niche rabbit holes, music tastes, or even assign users a “personality” based on viewing patterns, such as Adventurer, Skill Builder, Creative Spirit, Wonder Seeker or Connector.
