Kirby Smart has done everything Georgia wanted him to do as head coach. However, despite his one victory coming in a national championship game, he still has a poor record against Alabama football , where he previously worked as defensive coordinator under Nick Saban.

Smart has gone 1-7 against his former employer. That includes multiple losses in the SEC championship game, where the teams will meet on Saturday.
