Wild goaltender Jesper Wallstedt was lights-out in November. On Tuesday he was named the NHL Rookie of the Month for his performances, going 6-0-0 with a league-best 1.14 goals-against average. Wallstedt posted a .967 save percentage and recorded three shutouts during that stretch.
Wallstedt, 23, is just the second Wild player in franchise history to earn the award, joining defenseman Brock Faber, who took home the honor in January 2024.
The Wild goaltender beat out San Jose goaltender Yaroslav Askarov, Anaheim winger Beckett Sennecke, Islanders defenseman Matthew Schaefer, and Montreal winger Ivan Demidov for the award.
Wallstedt made at least 25 saves in each of his six starts in November, including a career-high 42 saves in a 4-3 shootout win over Carolina on Nov. 19.
