LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - After leading Hamilton Christian School to the quarterfinals of the state football playoffs, junior Javon Vital is transferring to Lake Charles College Prep.

Vital, a four-star recruit, is the 40th-ranked wide receiver in the 2027 class by 247Sports.

He wrapped up his penultimate football season by leading Hamilton Christian to a perfect regular season before the Warriors were eliminated 38-7 in the playoffs Friday night by Ascension Episcopal.

Lake Charles College Prep was 9-3 this year, also reaching the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.
