UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — John Carroll University announced Tuesday that Carolyn Noll Sorg will become the institution’s 27th president, effective June 1, 2026.
Noll Sorg, currently the university’s Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing, will succeed President Alan Miciak, who is set to retire after serving since 2021.
Bill Donnelly ’83 and Nancy Cunningham Benacci ’77, co-chairs of John Carroll’s Board of Directors, made the announcement.
“The John Carroll University Board has significant ambitions for the institution. We wanted a leader capable of realizing this vision.
