PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police have identified a man who died after a September shooting in Northwest Portland as 22-year-old Shiloh Thanos-Young of Portland. His family has been notified of his death, and the medical examiner has confirmed that his cause of death was homicide by gunshot wound.
Officers responded to Northwest Nicolai Street near the intersection with Northwest 29th Avenue at 8:36 p.m. on the night of Sept. 23 and found a man with gunshot wounds, according to a prior news release from the Portland Police Bureau. Despite lifesaving efforts from paramedics and a community member, the victim died at the scene.
