A car overturned after colliding with a safety barrier on the M53. At around 7.23pm on Friday, November 28, emergency services were called to reports of a crash between junctions seven and eight of the M53 northbound near Ellesmere Port.

When police arrived, they found a black BMW X5 had overturned after colliding with a safety barrier that ran along the carriageway. No one was injured during the incident, police said.

As part of their enquiries into establishing the circumstances that led to the incident, officers are asking anyone who has any relevant information or video footage to get in touch.
