1Teen suspect charged in two Northeast DC shootings

WASHINGTON, DC — A teenager has been arrested in connection with two shootings that took place weeks apart in Northeast Washington, each leaving a victim hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The first shooting occurred on October 31 in the 1300 block of 49th Street, where a teenage male was found with a gunshot wound shortly after 6 p.m. Responders transported him to a hospital, and the suspect fled before officers arrived.

A second shooting was reported on November 11 in the 1600 block of Kenilworth Avenue. An adult male was located with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital for treatment. As in the earlier case, the suspect left the scene before police arrived.
