EAST HANOVER, New Jersey — Mondelēz Global LLC announced a limited voluntary recall Monday of a single product line of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches distributed to eight U.S. states, citing a labeling error that could pose a risk to people with peanut allergies.

The company said 70 cases of the product were inadvertently shipped to select retailers in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Alabama. Although the outer cartons were labeled correctly, the individual snack packs inside may be mislabeled as the cheese variety despite containing peanut butter.
