LINCOLN COUNTY, Idaho — A sheriff's office in Idaho is mourning the loss of one of its K9 companions, Baxo.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office took to Facebook on Monday night to share pictures and memories of Baxo, a beloved K9 known as a loyal partner, protector and friend.
Baxo started his law enforcement career at the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office. He completed his tour of duty in Lincoln County, where he served the community with "unwavering dedication," the social media post said.
"Baxo was more than just a K-9; he was a cherished member of our law enforcement family," the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office wrote. "His work kept our deputies safe, strengthened our teams, and made a lasting impact on the communities he served."
The agency shared condolences to the handler,
