Wrexham and their Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac, have hit the headlines after details of the club receiving £18million in public funding towards the redevelopment of the Racecourse Ground resurfaced. It was first revealed in spring 2023 that Wrexham Council had voted to repurpose a substantial portion of a non-repayable £25million Welsh Government grant to help pay for a new stand.
