MT. ZION, Ill. (WAND) -- Mt. Zion tight end JC Anderson has flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to LSU.

The announcement comes after former Ole Miss Head Coach Lane Kiffin left the school to take the head coaching job at LSU.

Anderson confirmed to WAND Sports Director Adeena Balthazor Tuesday afternoon he would be heading to Baton Rouge.

Anderson committed to Ole Miss in July in front of friends and family.

During his senior year at Mt. Zion High School, Anderson scored 11 touchdowns and had 928 receiving yards.

Rivals National Recruiting Reporter Hayes Fawcett said Anderson is Kiffin's first commit at LSU .

Anderson will officially sign with LSU on Dec. 5.
