MADISON, Wis. -- Three teens were arrested early Tuesday after Madison police said they pistol-whipped and robbed a woman on the city's south side.
The incident was reported in the 700 block of Diving Hawk Trail at around 12:40 a.m. The woman was in a friend's car when she was attacked, and the teens got away with her phone and money.
Police reportedly found the teens driving on Verona Road. The group was stopped at the intersection of Williamsburg Way and South Whitney Way. A stolen gun and a sword were found inside the vehicle.
An 18-year-old was arrested for armed robbery. A 17-year-old was arrested for armed robbery, possession of a stolen firearm and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
