Pizza Karma, the tandoor-fired pizza shop with four locations around the Twin Cities, has closed one of its restaurants.

In an announcement on social media, Pizza Karma revealed that its final day of service in Maple Grove was Nov. 30.

The company was less than a year old when it opened in Maple Grove, just before the COVID-19 pandemic would cause widespread closures.

However, the announcement says a lease renewal offer "did not support the long-term health and sustainability of this location, especially in today's tough economic climate."

The restaurant looked at a smaller space in Maple Grove to stay in the community, but instead "chose to focus our energy on the exciting new store that's on the way."
