GREENFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -- Coverage on weather conditions heads north on I-91 as Western Mass news brings the snowy weather conditions from Greenfield.

The snow started around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning in Franklin County with over two inches of snow on the ground as of mid-afternoon.

There have been many closures in Greenfield so far from their schools, city offices and local businesses down Main Street.

Some Greenfield residents, like James McLaughlin, share with us how they are feeling about the first big snow of the season saying, “It’s comforting, the first snow, its different than February, you know?”
