Billy Davies is not in the running to become the next Morton manager.
The current Cappielow Technical Head Coach is part of the interim management team but doesn’t want to be considered for the role on a permanent basis. The Morton board has received a number of applicants and will start the process of appointing their next manager in due course.
Dougie Imrie stepped down as manager for Raith Rovers. Davies is happy to help in the short-term but has informed club officials that he does not want to be considered for the manager’s job.
