STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 30-year-old man was arrested after a probe headed by the FBI uncovered child pornography, authorities allege.
Hernan Cabrera of Victory Boulevard in Tompkinsville possessed at least one digital image of children under the age of 16 engaging in sexual activity, the criminal complaint alleges.
The image allegedly depicted men sexually abusing children as young as age 2, according to the complaint.
An investigation by the FBI’s New York Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force prompted Cabrera’s arrest on Nov. 5 at the Foley Square Federal Building in Manhattan. Public records indicate the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit also participated in the apprehension.
