MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Grace Place Mission Center has reopened after nearly five months of closure while relocating to a new space.
Officials are reporting record numbers of families seeking assistance during the holiday season.
The mission center reopened at the end of the government shutdown when people were still lacking SNAP benefits, according to Director Greg Mason.
“We got to open up right toward the end of the government shutdown when people were still lacking on SNAP benefits, and we had two of our biggest days ever when we first opened up,” Mason said.
