Leaders of an effort to finance a $16.7 million renovation of Joplin's Memorial Hall told residents during a Monday night presentation that they were hoping to receive approval of a memorandum of understanding with the city to proceed with their plans.
After the group's presentation, the City Council gave first-round approval to that memorandum during its meeting Monday. A second vote is required. ×
