HOUSTON – The Texans had already replaced veteran offensive guard Laken Tomlinson in the starting lineup.

Now, the Texans have waived the former Pro Bowl selection.

Tomlinson, 33, played in 10 games for the Texans, starting seven of them.

The Texans are starting Tytus Howard at left guard after plugging in Trent Brown at right tackle with Ed Ingram at right guard.

In the offseason, Tomlinso signed a one-year deal with a maximum value of $5 million and a base value of $4.25 million, per a league source.

Tomlinson has $2.5 million in total guarantees, a $1 million signing bonus, a salary of $2.5 million with $1.5 million fully guaranteed, $44,118 per game active in roster bonuses, plus a $750,000 Pro Bowl, playoffs incentive.
