A Houston man has been arrested in connection with a murder that had remained unsolved since 2017.
Brian Adams, 25, has been charged with capital murder for his alleged involvement in the death of 48-year-old Pedro Aguilar during an attempted carjacking.

In March 2017, investigators said two young-looking men stopped their vehicle next to Aguilar’s car as he was parking near his apartment on Richcrest Drive in North Houston.
The men pulled Aguilar from his car, pistol-whipped him, and then shot him.
Deputies reported that the suspects struggled with Aguilar’s stick-shift car, abandoned it, and fled in another vehicle driven by a third accomplice.
