LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Department of Energy is set to invest $400 million in Michigan’s Palisades nuclear plant.
The DoE says the funds will be distributed to Holtec Government services and will be used to deploy two small next-generation nuclear reactors, potentially doubling the site’s energy generation capacity.
Officials say it’ll generate enough power for 1.4 million households and protect 900 jobs.
