The Detroit Pistons could be close to getting back another member of their active roster from injury as forward Bobi Klintman was assigned to Detroit’s G League team, the Motor City Cruise, the team announced on Tuesday.

An assignment to the G League roster typically signals an impending return to the court as he’ll be likely to get scrimmage reps — at the very least — during his assignment.

Klintman has been absent for the Pistons since Nov. 17 due to a left ankle sprain . He was seen doing individual work off to the side during an open portion of shoot around last month sporting a walking boot.

Coach J.B. Bickerstaff said the team expected Klintman to miss "a little bit of time" since last competing in a win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 14.
