DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (WAFB) - A pedestrian is recovering from injuries following a crash in Denham Springs.

According to police, the crash happened around 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2.

The pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the eastbound lane of Florida Boulevard at Eugene Street.

The victim was taken to a hospital.

Impairment is not suspected in the crash, police said. However, they added that a toxicology screening was taken from the driver of the vehicle involved and submitted for analysis.

The investigation is ongoing.
