WILLIAMSBURG — ORGANIZERS OF THE NEW Williamsburg Winter Village are facing criticism for charging nearly $12 just to enter the holiday pop-up at BK Backyard Bar, according to the New York Post. Unlike Manhattan’s free Bryant Park and Union Square markets, the influencer-curated event — backed by Coca-Cola, Kahlua x Dunkin’ and vendors like Breads Bakery — requires admission before visitors can shop or eat.
Locals blasted the fee as insane and tourist-only pricing, and some noted the village is actually in Greenpoint. “I’m not paying 12 bucks to walk around,” one resident said to the Post.
