Get ready for an evening of twinkling lights and winter festivities.
Maricopa’s largest holiday event, Merry Copa, returns to Copper Sky Regional Park on Saturday for its 11th year.
The free event begins at 5 p.m. near Copper Sky Lake and features a long list of festive activities, including cookie decorating, horse-drawn hayrides, photo opportunities with Santa Claus and the annual tree lighting ceremony.
Be prepared to also spot Christmas carolers and live performances, as well as stopping by the Vendor Village to do some holiday shopping and enter an ugly sweater contest.
Parking passes can be purchased online starting at $7 , but if you’re a Copper Sky member, pick up a free parking pass by Friday.
Another transportation option is to hop aboard Ride 347
