VERNON, CT. (WFSB) - Heavy rain is washing away slush from earlier mixed precipitation across parts of Connecticut, with main roads mostly dealing with wet conditions.
Plow trucks have been moving in and out of the Department of Public Works yard throughout the day in Vernon.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation plows were spotted on I-84. However, there is little snow to clear from main roadways near Vernon.
Drivers report that overall conditions have improved since morning, though some caution remains necessary.
“Roads are really wet right now there’s a couple slick spots maybe where it’s slushy but other than that it’s not too bad,” said Mark Donnelly of South Windsor.
