BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — East Tennessee Championship Wrestling owner and Alcoa Police Department officer, Roger Rex, has a message for anyone who questions the authenticity of professional wrestling.
"Is wrestling real?" he said. "Come out, sign the release of liability, I'll give you a body slam and we'll let you make that decision."
It's already been a busy year for ETCW, which was founded in Alcoa in 2013, and wrestlers are gearing up for one of the biggest events of their season.
Every year, the group hosts a show on Christmas Day, as a way to make sure everyone has a place to go to celebrate the holiday, and as a way to give back to kids and families who support them all year long.
At the Christmas show, the group is teaming up with Ole Ben Franklin Motors to give away bikes to kids
