ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting and killing her husband, according to the DeKalb County district attorney.
The district attorney said Iesha Zenobia Harmon, 45, shot and killed her husband on Sept. 19, 2022. Police responded to their Decatur home, where they found Iesha’s husband, Shedrick Harmon, with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Iesha Harmon initially told investigators that she had accidentally shot her husband, but the district attorney said “text messages between the couple and accounts from friends and family indicate a history of violence, drug and alcohol use, and infidelity in the relationship.
