NORMAN, Okla. ( KSWO /Gray News) – The University of Oklahoma is investigating a report of religious discrimination after a student said she received a zero on a psychology essay for referencing the Bible to support her argument.
According to a statement from the university, a full review of the situation was initiated after the student notified university leaders. In addition, the graduate instructor has been placed on leave while the situation is under review.
Turning Point USA identified the student as Samantha Fulnecky. The conservative organization also alleged the graduate instructor in question is transgender, but that has not been confirmed by the university.
