MADISON, Wis. — The Dane County Humane Society has set an ambitious goal to raise more than $100,000 for animals in need on Giving Tuesday, with a $70,000 matching gift program designed to double the impact of every donation.
The matching gift means donors can effectively double their contributions, with the organization's total fundraising goal set at $140,000.
The funds will support DCHS' open-admission shelter, which accepts all animals that need assistance regardless of their age, health or temperament. The shelter prepares for any need that may come through its doors, requiring consistent financial support to maintain operations.
