STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Council of Jewish Organizations of Staten Island will hold its 54th annual menorah lighting ceremony at Borough Hall on Dec. 15, marking the second night of Hanukkah.
Borough President Vito Fossella will host the event. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6 p.m.
The ceremony will include the lighting of the menorah, remarks from Fossella, and musical performances by Hebrew School children. Attendees can expect traditional Hanukkah refreshments, including sufganiyot and latkes.
The annual event brings together community members to celebrate the Festival of Lights at the Staten Island government building.
