Most Americans should not expect a white Christmas this year, according to the latest prediction by “The Old Farmer’s Almanac ."
The publication expects a milder and gentler winter than average for most of the United States, with only a handful of regions likely to see snow on Dec. 25.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac forecasts a white Christmas for parts of the Northeast, the Lower Lakes region and Alaska.
Several other areas have a chance of seeing snow, including the Appalachians, Upper Midwest and High Plains.
The eastern parts of the Ohio Valley and Intermountain regions may also see snow, though western portions of those areas are not expected to receive any snow.
The forecast calls for no Christmas snow in the Atlantic Corridor including New Jersey and New York City.
