Gondoliers leaned on defense, rushing attack and big-play special teams during late-season push

Venice High’s 2025 football season ended one game short of a City Section Division I semifinal berth, but the Gondoliers closed their campaign with a strong late push that showcased one of the Western League’s most balanced rosters.

Venice finished 7–6 overall and 3–2 in league play, riding a midseason turnaround into the playoffs before falling 16–7 to Marquez in the quarterfinals on Nov. 21, according to MaxPreps.com.
