Ulpiano Badua Pumaras

Ulpiano Badua Pumaras, 82, passed away on Nov. 4, 2025, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was born on Jan. 22, 1943, in the Philippines. He moved to Hawaii in Dec. 1994. He worked at Brennecke’s Beach Broiler for 19 years.

He is survived by his wife Erlinda Pumaras, children Florence (Christianni) Pumaras, Kenneth (Jenny) Pumaras, Micaela (Ryan) Andres, Jenny (Ryan Boy) Pumaras, sisters Rosita Pascua, Ofelia Morales and six grandchildren.

Burial will be held in the Philippines on Dec. 6, 2025. And he will be laid to rest at the San Nicolas, llocos Norte Public Cemetery.

Josephina Gatiuan, of Kapaa, passed away on Oct. 31, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on Jan. 10, 1939, and worked as a receptionist.
