FARGO — The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education will meet in separate, closed sessions this week to consider interim presidents for North Dakota State University and Valley City State University.
While a candidate could emerge for VCSU, it could take a bit longer for the same to occur for NDSU, according to Meredith Larson, chief operating officer for the North Dakota University System.
“I don't know that the board will complete that process on Thursday. I doubt that,” she said in reference to NDSU. The board meets virtually at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4.
NDSU has a bit more time to work with, Larson said.
President David Cook departs sometime in February to start his new job as president of Iowa State University on March 1.
