Unlike other sports, where athletes have little to do after retirement besides broadcasting or creating content on YouTube, combat sports offer far more opportunities. Retired fighters can jump into exhibition bouts, dirty boxing matches, or even bare-knuckle fighting, just like Mike Perry revived his career. But Henry Cejudo has no plans to do anything like that.

Talking to TMZ Sports, Cejudo said he is not interested in the post-retirement circus most fighters chase. No dirty boxing, no bare knuckle, and none of the alternative combat sports guys like Perry have turned into second careers.

The only thing that interests him is a wrestling match against Mavlet Batirov from Russia. The two-time Olympic champion asked Henry to compete, and that’s the sole matchup he’d consider outside MMA.
