A delivery driver has been arrested and charged with armed robberies spanning six years and multiple cities in Rhode Island, including Providence, Cranston, Pawtucket and Woonsocket.
Khivory Alston, 36, was taken into custody Tuesday, Dec. 3, by Cranston police , who apprehended him as he exited his delivery truck while wearing an Amazon jacket.
Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez, Johnston Police Chief Mark Vieira, Cranston Police Major Todd Patalano and representatives from the Pawtucket Police Department held a news conference Thursday, Dec. 4, to discuss the charges and the investigation. They say Alston held up at least 18 businesses in Cranston, Providence, Johnston, Pawtucket and Woonsocket, starting in 2019.
In Providence, no one was physically injured in the armed robberies,
