Staff at Guadalupe Junior High School called the Guadalupe Police Department (GPD) around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday after spotting a man acting suspiciously near campus, reportedly in a dirt field close to the street. As a precaution, school staff initiated a shelter-in-place while police responded.

According to a notice from Guadalupe Union School District Public Information Officer Kenny Klein, the shelter order was lifted around 2 p.m. when officers completed their on-site check. No further information was released.
