Shocking news came out on Thursday afternoon. A beloved Capital Region restaurant and bar announced the immediate temporary closure of all of their locations. As of right now, you can no longer for to any Swifty's Pubs.

On Facebook they wrote, "We’re sorry for any inconvenience and look forward to serving you again soon!" That was followed up with an image post saying that the circumstances of the temporary closures were "unforeseen." However after looking into it, I think they probably knew that this was coming at some point.

Steve Barnes from the Times Union reported that the locations were closed due to tax seizure. They owed $600,000 minimum on one of 16 warrants for sales, withholding taxes.
