MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Two convicted felons are back behind bars after the Memphis Safe Task Force arrested them on outstanding warrants on Wednesday.
Carlos Johnson, 26, was captured at an apartment complex off Bill Knight Road in Millington, near Highway 51.
The U.S. Marshals Service reports that he was wanted out of Memphis on charges of aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a handgun, stemming from a shooting in January where he allegedly fired at his ex-girlfriend as she was driving.
Authorities say two firearms were also found inside his apartment.
The task force also arrested 47-year-old Gabriel Borders on Wednesday during a traffic stop in the Riverside area of Memphis. He was wanted for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
