NORWALK – Rapper DJ Quik’s son David Marvin Blake has been found guilty of second degree murder charges.

The jury deliberated for two days before reaching their verdict.

“Blake was found guilty of second-degree murder and the gun allegations and the great bodily injury allegations were found to be true,” said Greg Risling, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office.

“He also was convicted of one count of shooting from a motor vehicle and the gun and GBI allegations also were found to be true.”

Blake, 27, was charged with the May 25, 2022, killing of Julio Cardoza. Cardoza was shot following a dispute in the 13200 block of Carfax Avenue. This is according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
