BOISE, Idaho — Orchard Street is still closed as of Thursday afternoon, as crews continue emergency repairs caused by a broken waterline.
The closure is on a section of Orchard Street between Overland Road and Targee Street. The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) said Thursday that the closure remains in place to allow its crews to make pavement repairs, and commuters should use Phillippi Street as a detour.
A spokesperson with Veolia Idaho Operation told KTVB the repairs to the waterline have been completed after crews repaired an 8-inch AC pipe that burst Wednesday evening, causing roadway damage and reports of discolored water.
Officials stated that the outage affected 10 customers who had no water, but by Thursday morning, water service had been restored.
