MITCHELL – The Mitchell Police Department arrested a local man for alleged repeated violations of a protective order, leading to charges of stalking and invasion of privacy.

According to a Probable Cause Affidavit filed by Officer Cody Grogan, Ashton Beavers, 33, of Mitchell, was arrested on November 28.

The investigation began on October 18, 2025, when Officer Grogan was dispatched to the Dollar Tree located at 1306 West Main Street regarding a reported protective order violation.

The alleged female victim informed Officer Grogan that she had a standing protective order against Beavers. She stated that he had been driving by and calling her place of employment, allegedly swearing at her and the store manager.
