A handful of places in Massachusetts received brief snow showers Thursday, but not enough to stick around, according to the National Weather Service.
Northern Massachusetts saw some localized snow, including in Orange and Fitchburg, and more was expected in the Beverly and Lowell areas on Thursday afternoon, National Weather Service Lead Meteorologist Andrew Loconto said.
But it came only in brief, passing bursts, and only light snowfall.
“It might look like a snowglobe outside,” he said, with snowflakes swirling around, but it would not be enough to accumulate beyond a possible light dusting.
