A car slammed into a home in Bristol Township on Thursday, Dec. 4, prompting a major emergency response across from the Wawa on New Falls Road, police announced.
The 2010 Mazda MZ3 had been traveling east out of the Wawa parking lot at 7625 New Falls Road when it continued across Wistar Road and came to rest against the house at 4210 Wistar Road, according to the preliminary investigation released by Bristol Township Police on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 1:22 p.m.
The home did not suffer structural damage, but the driver was injured and transported by the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad to St. Mary Medical Center, police said.
Fire crews from Levittown Fire Company #2, Edgely Fire Company, Fairless Hills Fire Department, and the Bristol Township Fire Marshals Office assisted at the scene. Penndel-Middletown and Levittown-Fairless Hills emergency squads also responded, and Keith’s Towing removed the vehicle from the front of the home, authorities said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Bristol Township Police Traffic Safety Unit.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Paul Aita at 267-812-3042.
Wistar Road is the same road where 18-year-old Keira D’Ambra of Fairless Hills struck a tree and died earlier this year. Click here to read our report on that tragic incident.
