DECATUR, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The owners of Raging Burrito have sold the business after 27 years in Decatur Square.
Scott Herman founded Raging Burrito in Midtown in 1996. Two years later, it moved to what was then a run-down part of Decatur.
“It was all torn-down buildings,” Herman said of the area.
Herman, 60, said the decision to sell was part retirement and part health related. Per Decaturish, Herman and co-owner Parham Savadkoohi sold the restaurant to longtime customer Ben Kori. 32-year industry veteran and Decatur resident Chance Walls now runs the day-to-day operations.
New owners plan to maintain tradition
“We’re not trying to re-roll the burrito,” Walls said.
