WASHINGTON — HydroJug is recalling 17,000 children's tumblers due to a choking hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall notice for Hydrojug's 14-ounce Children's Sports Tumblers on Thursday. According to the notice, the rivets on the handle can loosen, causing the handle to detach and posing a choking hazard to children.
The sports tumblers can be identified by serial number 235010 or by no serial number on the bottom of the tumbler under the rubber boot. The Hydrojug tumbler was sold in five patterns, including Cowgirl, Daisy, Checkers, Dinosaur, Sport and Bows.
More than 650 reports of loose handles are tied to the recall. No injuries have been reported, the CSPC said.
